Srijana Shrestha is an environmental researcher and climate storyteller passionate about turning science into stories that spark action. Her work focuses on sustainability, climate change, and circular economy solutions in Nepal, with key interests in plastic pollution, forest carbon inventory, and field-based environmental research.
She currently works as a Research Assistant at Impact Hub Kathmandu under the OUCRU project, contributing to translational research in infectious diseases through stakeholder mapping and evidence-based approaches. She has also worked as a field researcher with the Avni Centre for National Plastic Inventory Research, supporting national-level plastic waste data collection and assessment.
Alongside her research, she brings experience in environmental communication, social media management, and community engagement, supporting awareness campaigns and youth-focused initiatives.
Srijana is driven by the belief that data tells us what is happening, but stories move people to act bridging both through her work in climate storytelling. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, photography, and watching movies.
