She is committed to supporting initiatives that create meaningful social and environmental impact while empowering individuals and communities. Beyond her professional pursuits, she enjoys reading, traveling and exploring new places and ideas.
“My experience at Impact Hub Kathmandu has been incredibly rewarding and filled with opportunities to learn and grow. One of the highlights was being part of the Incubation of Ideas on Climate Smart Livelihood Solutions program, where I had the privilege of working closely with young and energetic incubatees from Bardiya. Their dedication, resilience, and passion for creating positive change in their communities were truly inspiring.
I have also been fortunate to work with a supportive and collaborative team that has continuously encouraged my growth and learning. From supporting the incubatees throughout their journey to facilitating Demo Day, every experience has strengthened my passion for impact-driven work and reinforced my belief in the power of entrepreneurship and innovation to create meaningful change. I am grateful for all that I have learned so far and look forward to continuing to grow and contribute in the journey ahead.”
Jenish Swar

Jenish Swar is a recent undergraduate student from the Institute of Engineering, Pashchimanchal Campus (T.U.) with an academic background in a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering. He has a special interest in exploring ideas on aerospace engineering, aerodynamics, and sustainable technology. He is a keen innovator and problem solver, with a strong interest in rapid prototyping and entrepreneurship. His academic and research background includes an advanced project on morphing airfoils, where he successfully analyzed aerodynamic performance to optimize wing efficiency. Before his role with Impact Hub Kathmandu, he completed internships at Yarsa Tech and Lumbini Ceramics Limited, and served as the Managing Lead for the national-level technical event, Vector 3.0. Jenish likes to stay curious, and he is highly driven to promote advanced prototyping and practical, cost-effective engineering solutions.
“My role at Impact Hub Kathmandu is to work as a Technical Assistant for the RU Business Incubation program in Pokhara. I am mainly focusing on providing tailored technical coaching to entrepreneurs, guiding them through product design, prototyping, testing, and refining their offerings with a specific focus on recycling and upcycling products. Additionally, I oversee machinery setup, operation safety, and manage the procurement, inspection, and formal handover of specialized equipment to beneficiary enterprises.”
Srijana Shrestha

Srijana Shrestha is an environmental researcher and climate storyteller passionate about turning science into stories that inspire action. Her interests lie in sustainability, climate change, and circular economy solutions, with experience in plastic pollution, forest carbon inventory, and environmental research. She currently works as a Research Assistant at Impact Hub Kathmandu under the OUCRU project, contributing to translational health research through stakeholder mapping and evidence-based approaches. She also brings experience in environmental communication, social media management, and community engagement.
A graduate of Environmental Science from Tribhuvan University, Srijana believes that while data helps us understand challenges, stories inspire people to act. Beyond research, she is deeply drawn to creativity and exploration whether through travel, photography, films, or discovering new perspectives through art and storytelling.
“Two years ago, as a student, my project Grevolution reached the finals of Startup Discovery Asia, where I first learned about Impact Hub Kathmandu. Although we didn’t win, the experience stayed with me. Today, working here as a Research Assistant feels like coming full circle. It’s a reminder that sometimes the opportunities we aspire to have a way of finding us when the time is right. I’m grateful to be learning, growing, and creating impact alongside such an inspiring team.”
Bibek Paswan

Bibek Kumar Paswan is a mechanical engineering graduate currently working as a Technical Assistant at Impact Hub Kathmandu. He is passionate about applying engineering principles to solve real-world manufacturing challenges. His work includes operating and maintaining 3D printers, CNC laser cutters, and CNC routers, as well as CAD modelling and product prototyping. He is eager to learn new technologies, improve his technical skills, and contribute to innovative projects that have a positive impact.
“Working alongside the experienced technical team at the FabLab provides me with valuable opportunities to enhance my practical skills and gain hands-on experience with advanced fabrication technologies. I am passionate about applying my engineering knowledge to real- world projects and contributing to innovative solutions. I am very excited to collaborate with creative individuals and be part of programs that use technology and innovation to create a positive impact in our communities. ”
Subash Bhujel

Subash Bhujel is a Technical Assistant at Impact Hub Kathmandu, working at the intersection of digital fabrication and assistive technology. He enjoys turning a need into a working device, moving from understanding a person’s daily challenge to prototyping something that actually helps them move or live more independently. Hands-on by nature, Subash works across 3D printing, mechanical design, and rapid prototyping to build assistive solutions that are practical, durable, and tailored to real users.
“My interest in this space actually started at an assistive device makeathon, where I saw, up close, how a small device could hold a deeper meaning in someone’s daily life. That experience pulled me toward this work and pushed me to apply for this role. Since then, I’ve been drawn to working close to the problem, understanding what someone with a spinal injury actually struggles with before reaching for a design tool. Right now, that means building writing aids, typing and screen touch aids, and therapy tools for people whose hand and arm function has been affected by spinal injury.I’m very grateful to be doing this work alongside a team that’s striving to make an impact.”
