Celebrating Nine Entrepreneurs on Their Incubation Journey

Impact Hub Kathmandu, in collaboration with the Industrial Enterprise Development Institute (IEDI), held a three-month long Business Incubation Program, running from May to July, supporting nine aspiring and emerging entrepreneurs through an intensive journey of learning, refinement, and growth. The program focused on helping entrepreneurs strengthen their business ideas, refine their business models, build financial confidence, and develop clearer pathways for the future.

Nine businesses. Diverse journeys.

The cohort represented a wide range of enterprises, from pickle and food production, agriculture and agro-based businesses to beauty services, wellbeing and mental health services to engineering consultancy.

Their businesses were at different stages and faced different challenges, but they shared a common willingness to learn, adapt, and strengthen what they had already built. The cohort brought together entrepreneurs from diverse backgrounds, including entrepreneurs with disabilities, creating a learning environment where different experiences, perspectives, and abilities could contribute to the entrepreneurial journey.

Moving beyond the idea.

The program was structured around three masterclasses, each designed to strengthen a different aspect of the incubatees’ businesses. It began with Orientation and Financial Literacy, covering program expectations and essential financial management skills. The second focused on Impact Business Models, helping incubatees refine their Business Model Canvas and better understand their business and its impact. The final masterclass on Strategic Roadmapping helped them map their next 6-12 months and strengthen their pitching skills. Each masterclass was complemented by a one-on-one coaching session, providing personalised guidance to apply the learning to their businesses.

Determination that drives progress.

Throughout the incubation journey, the incubatees demonstrated remarkable determination. They showed up ready to learn, responded to feedback, and continued refining their businesses even when the process challenged their initial thinking.

By the end of the incubation journey, the entrepreneurs had transformed their ideas into more structured business models, clear pitches, and practical business roadmaps outlining what comes next for their ventures. The journey culminated with the incubatees presenting their business briefs and pitches on the final day, putting their learning into action and receiving valuable feedback as they prepared to take their businesses forward.

The day also marked a moment of celebration, as the entrepreneurs received their certificates of completion, recognising their commitment, growth, and determination throughout the incubation journey.

Closing the Chapter, Opening the Next.

The completion of the IEDI Business Incubation Program is not an endpoint. It marks another step in the journeys of these nine entrepreneurs.

They leave the program with strengthened business ideas, refined models, greater financial understanding, and new perspectives to carry into the next stage of their ventures.

We are grateful to the Industrial Enterprise Development Institute (IEDI) for making this journey possible and proud to have supported a diverse group of entrepreneurs as they transformed ideas into stronger, more purposeful businesses.

The program may have come to an end, but for these nine entrepreneurs, the next chapter is just beginning.
