A New Hub, A New Board

6 March 2022 - Rachana Khatri

It takes a community to create impact and we’re excited to have formed a new Board of Directors and welcome them to the Impact Hub Kathmandu family to bring change for Nepal. Over several dialogue sessions, a call for applications, and a series of interviews we’re grateful to have four new leaders as our thought partners and champions to build out the vision for Impact Hub.

Here’s a glimpse of who our brilliant new Board of Directors are!

“Being a part of Fablab Nepal from the very beginning, I am excited and honored at the same time to also start this journey with the Impact Hub KTM family to create an impact in the community with both the entrepreneurial and Technical aspect.”

Pradita Pradhan, Program Manager, Field Ready

What excites me the most is the aspiration that I have making positive impact to the entrepreneurial scene in Nepal at scale, and working alongside a team that’s equally passionate about making that happen

“The entrepreneurship ecosystem is still growing and is at an exciting phase in Nepal. We have seen a lot of changes, and progress over the past  6-7 years but a lot more needs to be done for the start-up ecosystem to foster emerging innovators, committed social impact enterprises, and creative changemakers. I am very excited to be on board, to contribute, and collaborate in building Impact Hub’s Nepal chapter a success. “

“Delighted to be associated with such an amazing organization and group of people. I hope to bring an intersectional and decolonial feminist perspective to the organization and learn about community engagement from the organization.”

In the coming weeks, we will gather our Board of Directors along with key stakeholders, users, and our team for a 2-day strategy session. We’ll unpack the impact priority areas where we want to build positive change for Nepal and define what that will actually look like. Through that process, we hope to look at meaningful ways to measure and track our impact while engaging with diverse changemakers and partners to collectively achieve our vision.

This is a year full of change and transformation both locally and globally with a sense of urgency to roll up our sleeves and get busy. Join us in welcoming our new Board of Directors who will help usher us into this new chapter of valuable change!
