Celebrating The Success of Deputy Mayors
December 2021 marked the successful completion of the first-ever political leadership coaching program ‘Transforming Nepal’s Female Deputy Mayors’ for 17 female Deputy Mayors of Nepal. Nepal Communitere in partnership with Women LEAD Nepal, and support from The Asia Foundation Nepal co-designed and led a half-year-long leadership coaching program for Deputy Mayors of Province 3 from March-August 2021. We held a wonderful celebration event on Friday, December 3rd at the Skyline Hall at Hotel Himalaya culminating this inspiring and transformative coaching journey for our entire team!
Our Journey To Become Impact Hub Kathmandu!
Nepal Communitere became an officially registered Nepali not-for-profit organization 6 years ago on December 31, 2015 under the premise that a disaster can be a catalyst for innovation. Through that vision, we accomplished immense success within our small hub in Pulchowk. On our sixth year anniversary, we are now joining a global network of over 100 like-minded hubs as the official Impact Hub Kathmandu! All we can say is WOW… What started as an exploratory conversation with the amazing Beate Weinzinger, Growth Lead at the Impact Hub Network back in April, has resulted in Kathmandu hosting Nepal’s first Impact Hub today.
