Meet the newest additions to our Impact Hub Kathmandu and Fablab Team: Amit, Keshav, Laxmi, Romi, Selisha, and Suresh!
We are delighted to introduce you to all six of them to share their passion, goals, and roles at the hub!
Amit Hitang is a Mechanical Engineer at FabLab Nepal, serving as a Technical Associate since mid-June. Before joining FabLab Nepal, he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from IOE Pulchowk Campus. During his academic journey, he was actively engaged in various Robotics and Mechanical design projects. Amit is deeply passionate about intelligent systems that can be programmed or trained to handle specific tasks, especially in challenging environments where adaptability is crucial. His primary interests lie in Robotics and Autonomous Systems, driven by a belief in interdisciplinary approaches to solving complex engineering problems. Amit firmly believes in the power of teamwork and collaboration as fundamental to the success of any project. Looking forward, he aspires to leverage technology to assist humanity through seamless integration into daily life.
Keshav Dhakal with over 20 years of experience, specializes in program coordination project management, social mobilization, and enterprise development. He has a proven track record of engaging stakeholders, organizing successful events, and improving communication. His work focuses on promoting sustainable development and building community resilience. He excels in leading initiatives and managing teams to achieve organizational goals. He has held key roles such as Program Officer, Managing Director, and Social Mobilization Coordinator, consistently delivering positive results. With his expertise, he has joined our team as the Program Officer of the Lumbini Province.
Laxmi Paneru the newest addition to the Impact Hub Kathmandu team, joining our finance department. She brings a solid background with diverse experiences in finance, administration, and logistics management. She has previously worked with reputable organizations such as Kanchan Development Bank Limited, World Vision International Nepal, and the USAID-funded project: Center for Environmental & Agricultural Policy Research, Extension, and Development (CEAPRED). Known for her strong financial management abilities, attention to detail, and excellent interpersonal skills, she is a valuable addition to our team. Beyond her professional skills, she is an avid literature reader, enjoys trekking, and loves traveling. She believes in implementing creative changes to improve outcomes, particularly in resource mobilization, and adopting an optimistic approach to cost minimization. Besides her professional background, she is pursuing her thesis on “Succession Planning in Nepalese Organizations: Preparedness and Challenges” to fulfill the requirements for her Master’s in Business Studies (MBS) from Tribhuvan University, Nepal. We are confident that her diverse experiences and passions will significantly contribute to the success and growth of Impact Hub Kathmandu.
Romi Shrestha is the new Communication Officer at Impact Hub Kathmandu. She holds an MBA and has extensive experience from her previous role as a Consulate Officer at the Poland Consulate, where she worked closely with the government sector of Nepal and the diplomatic channels of India and Nepal. Romi excels in liaising with international citizens in crisis and effectively communicating with a diverse range of stakeholders. She is highly adaptive, creative, and capable of managing large volumes of information and tasks. Known for her amicable nature, she actively engages with new people. In her free time, Romi enjoys swimming, reading, traveling, and practicing numerology.
Selisha Shrestha is a dedicated intern who has recently joined Impact Hub Kathmandu. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Studies from St.Xavier’s College. Her academic journey has equipped her with a strong foundation in business principles, preparing her for diverse professional challenges. Beginning her career as a CSM intern, Selisha is developing her skills in community engagement. She has a deep interest in arts and fashion. In her leisure time, she is an avid reader and cherishes moments spent with family and friends. She is perpetually driven to broaden her knowledge and enhance her skills.
Suresh Sapkota is the newest addition to the Impact Hub as the business coach for the Lumbini Province. He is an accomplished researcher, lecturer, and trainer specializing in economic policy, management, and entrepreneurship. He has extensive experience in research methodologies, including data collection and analysis. He has a strong background in developing and delivering training programs focused on venture creation, leadership, communication, and stress management. His academic qualifications include an MPhil in Management (ongoing) and master’s degrees in Economics and Business Administration. Suresh has published several research papers in reputable journals and has presented his work at national and international conferences. Known for his strong analytical, problem-solving, and mentoring skills, he is also actively engaged in curriculum design and student mentorship, fostering the next generation of business leaders.
